The goal of the Tampa Riverwalk for Dads is to foster awareness among men about the need to become better educated about prostate cancer, get tested, and to find new treatments that can help kill the cancer or help men to avoid it altogether. Currently, about 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in American men, behind only lung cancer. About 1 man in 35 will die of prostate cancer.
